ప్రతి నట్టింట్లో వచ్చి చేరిన టెలివిజన్, అరచేతిలో విశ్వాన్ని చూపే మొబైల్ ఫోన్ మనపై చూపే ప్రభావం చెప్ప తరం కాదు. నిత్యావసర వస్తువుల జాబితాలో చేరిపోయిన ఈ రెండు వస్తువులు చూపే ప్రభావం కొంత అనుకూలమైనది ఉన్నా, ప్రతికూల ప్రభావాలు కాస్త ఎక్కువగానే ఉన్నాయి.
సినిమా, ఫోన్ కన్నా ప్రతి ఇంట్లో చిన్న, పెద్ద ప్రతి కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు సులభంగా చేరువవుతున్న ప్రసార సాధనం టెలివిజన్. కాబట్టి ఈ టెలివిజన్ ఛానల్స్ సమాజం పట్ల కొంత బాధ్యతను కలిగి ఉంటాయి. వాణిజ్య పరమైన లాభాలు తేలేని కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రసారం చేయలేని అశక్తత వారికుండి ఉండవచ్చు. కానీ, వాణిజ్యంతో పాటు కాస్త విలువలు గల కార్యక్రమాలు రూపొందించటం వారి బాధ్యత కూడా అని మాలాంటి సామాన్య, సాధారణ గృహిణులైన మహిళల అభిప్రాయం. మేము, మా పిల్లలు కలిసి కుటుంబ సభ్యులు యావత్తూ చూడగలిగిన కార్యక్రమాలు ఎన్ని రూపొందుతున్నాయి? వేళ్ళ మీద లెక్క పెట్టవచ్చు. సీరియల్స్ ఎందుకు.. ఏం చెప్తారో.. ఎందుకు సాగదీస్తారో.. వాళ్ళకే తెలియాలి వాటిని వదిలేయండి. కొంత మందికైనా ప్రయోజనం కలిగించే పాటలు, నృత్యాల పోటీల వంటివి పక్కన పెడితే.. కొంత విజ్ఞానానికి సంబంధించి క్విజ్ కార్యక్రమాలు వంటివి ఎక్కడో ఒకటి ఉంటున్నాయి. అర్థం కానిదేంటంటే ఒకరెవరో వెకిలి చేష్టలు, మాటలు, ద్వంద్వార్థాలే హాస్యం అనే రీతిలో కార్యక్రమం రూపొందించి, ప్రసారం అయి, దానికి మంచి టి ఆర్ పి రేటింగ్ వచ్చింది కదాని అదేదో ప్రేక్షకులంతా కోరుకునే వినోదం ఇదేననుకుంటూ మిగతా ఛానల్స్ అన్నీ అలాంటి కాన్సెప్ట్ తోనే కార్యక్రమాలు రూపొందించి ప్రజల మీద వదలటం. ఒక కార్యక్రమంలో ఇంటి గొడవలను వీధికెక్కించి ప్రపంచమంతా చూపిస్తే అదేదో గొప్ప ప్రోగ్రామ్ అనుకుని మిగతా ఛానల్స్ అనుకరించటం.. ఏం.. సరే.. వినోదమే ప్రధానం అనుకుంటే.. అదే మూసలో ఎందుకు.. దానికి భిన్నంగా ఒక మంచి ఆరోగ్యకరమైన, ఆహ్లాదకరమైన వినోదాన్ని అందించలేరా? భిన్నంగా ఆలోచించలేరా? ఆ సృజనాత్మకత లేదా?
విద్యార్థులకు విజ్ఞానాన్ని అందించే కార్యక్రమాలు అడపా దడపా ఎక్కడో ఒక చోట కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటాయి. వాటి ప్రసార సమయం తక్కువే. సమాజంపైన అనుకూలమైన ప్రభావం చూపకపోయినా ఫరవాలేదు, ప్రతికూల ప్రభావం చూపే కార్యక్రమాలు నియంత్రించితే మంచిదని మాలాంటి సామాన్య ప్రేక్షకుల అభిప్రాయం.
